ms workplace – MP4 video in powerpoint solely performs the second time (or third…)

I’ve a macOS PowerPoint presentation with inserted MP4 movies. Once I first swap to a slide (both in slide enhancing or slide present mode) the primary time I play a video it performs during the video however is caught on the primary body for the whole playback.

The second (or subsequent) instances I play the video it really works effective and advances via all of the frames. If I swap out of and return to a slide with a video the playback difficulty occurs once more.

The movies play the primary time in VLC and QuickTime.

System and software program particulars:

  • MacBook Professional, Nov 2023, Chip: Apple M3 Professional, built-in GPU.
  • macOS: Sonoma 14.7
  • Powerpoint: Model 16.89.1 (24091630)

I’m assured I’ve eliminated and tried all permutations of related animations. And have tried the assorted choices for video ‘Playback’ within the high ribbon.
